Description
Shoulder belt plate, oval, gilt, 1800 (c). Associated with Edinburgh (Royal Highland) Volunteers. Between crossed palm sprays, a shield charged with a representation of Edinburgh Castle. Above the shield, a fouled anchor upon an heraldic wreath. Above all, the curved title, 'Royal Edinburgh', and below all, the curved title, 'Volunteers'. Hook fittings at back.
