Description
Pattern 1798, Officer’s Broadsword, 93rd Highlanders, 1800-1822; straight blade with a double edge, spear point and fuller; brass traditional highland basket guard, inset with the regimental number, 93, and the St. Andrew’s cross; wooden grip covered in fish skin; the regiment was raised in 1800 the sword can therefore be dated 1800-1822.
