Pencil drawing, signed lower left ‘JWard’, by Ensign (later General) J Ward, 66th (Berkshire) Regiment of Foot, 1821 Half-length portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte in profile, his head on pillows, lying in full uniform with hat, drawn from the figure. Signed at lower left and inscribed and dated at lower right. Two versions of this drawing by Ward are known.
