Cane, 1894. Fawn bamboo, in ten sections, with a silver plated ferrule, Hallmarked London 1894 and maker’s mark ‘CC and BRIGG’; the front of the head bears the cypher ‘QO’, surmounted by a crown, both above a scroll bearing the name, ‘7TH HUSSARS’; associated with Maj Gen 1st Earl of Athlone.
