Embroidered cap badge, possibly a cadet badge from the Merchant Navy, 1909 (c).
Associated with Lieutenant Arthur Royce Bradbury who later served in the 3rd Bn Dorset Regiment.
Sewn on to a 42mm black woven braid, possibly a hat band, possibly a cadet badge.
In Jan 1915 Bradbury was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant into the 3rd Bn Dorsetshire Regiment; Bradbury had some of his works of art published in ‘The Sphere’, ‘The Tatler’ and ‘The Daily Herald’, as well as having postcards published.
