Ashtray, 1929. Silver, made by Adie Brothers Limited and hallmarked at Birmingham, 1928-1929. Presented to the Officers of 5th Royal Battalion, 2nd Punjab Regiment by Lt Col Victor Coates. Associated with the Indian Army. In the form of a silver bowl and separate turned wooden base. The silver has hallmark and engraved lettering around the rim, with a central wooden knob to lift it from the separate ebonized turned wooden base.
