Kukri with scabbard, sharpener and small knife, 1945.
Presented to Gen Sir John Francis Stanhope Duke Coleridge GCB CMG DSO by all ranks, 8th Gurkha Rifles, 1945.
The blade is medium to light weight and has dull finish, possibly originally plated, single fuller. The hilt is made of aluminium. 
Grip is speckled anodised aluminium or alloy, with brass ferrule and pommel cap, with diamond shaped fitting.
Highly decorated kukris have been presented by the Gurkhas to many notables over the years and especially to commanders whom they have held in high esteem.
