Description
Forage cap, Garibaldi Forces, possibly worn by Joseph Nelson, 1860 (c). Scarlet cloth crown and sides. Crown piped with scarlet cloth. Half inch silver lace cap band traced above with two bands of gold Russia braid, 1/8 inch apart. At centre front a badge of the following design: superimposed upon a rosette of circular patches of green, white and red cloth, a white metal cross.
