Pouch belt plate, white metal, 1904-1921. Associated with Maj J Hardcastle, 46th Punjabis. In relief upon a slightly domed frosted disc a pair of crossed knives of type, the blades entwined with a quoit within which is the number, '46'. Below the quoit a frosted crescent bearing the burnished title, 'Punjabis'. The disc edged with a burnished border, flanked by sprays of laurel and surmounted by a monarchial crown. With three brass screw fittings upon the reverse, each with a knurled brass nut.
