Table lighter, 1930. Silver, by Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Limited, hallmarked London, 1930-1931. Presented by five officers. Inscribed, 'PRESENTED TO/ THE OFFICERS/ 5TH BN 2ND PUNJAB REGIMENT/ BY/ MAJOR M.MIDDLETON/ CAPTAIN J M HUNT/ CAPTAIN C.H.D. O'CALLAGHAN/ CAPTAIN G.M.S. WEBB/ CAPTAIN C.V. KING/ 1930'. Associated with the Indian Army. Model galley on a rectangular ebonised plinth. Four small silver troughs. Body of the galley has two axles to which are attached ornate four-spoked wheels. Upon the top, flat surface are four small silver troughs up which the lighter stands. The body of the galley has two axles to which are attached free-revolving ornate four-spoked wheels. The lower part of the hull is ribbed to simulate planking.
