Description
Helmet, 90th Regiment of Foot (or Perthshire Volunteers), worn by Colonel (later general) Rowland Hill, 1801 (c). Black leather with black silk pugri and brass trim. Crest absent. Reputedly shows a mark from a musket ball which wounded him, whilst commanding the Regiment at the Battle of Aboukir in 1801.
