Pair of officer's collar badges, gilt metal, 1925 (c). Cast. A palm tree upon a ground above a frosted scroll bearing the burnished letters, 'W.A.F.F.'. The reverse bears two copper loop fittings, vertically placed and a thin red rod of copper reinforcing the trunk of the tree. On the base is impressed the maker's name, 'W.M. Dowler & Sons Ltd'. From a collection of 27 badges and buttons worn by Lt Col J Lyall, West African Frontier Force.
