Silver cake or dessert stand, 1881 (c). Silver by 'RM/EH', hallmarked London, 1881-1882. Also marked on underside with Registration mark, '3861/9'. Circular, on an inverted baluster-shaped stem and foot with beading, gadrooning and acanthus leaves. From the Mess Plate of the 94th Regiment of Foot. With regimental crest in the centre. Inscribed, 'Presented to Lt Colonel Malthus and Officers, 94th Regiment, by R G Wolrige-Gordon, on leaving the Regiment 16th May 1879'.
