Salt bowl, presented by Lt Elford Pearse, 2nd Battalion Royal Dublin Fusiliers, 1881 (c). Silver, no hallmark or maker's mark, 1881 (c). Divided into eight sections, the rim has a lip which is reeded and scrolled. On the four corners of the bowl are leaves which extend into feet. Inscribed: 'PRESENTED TO THE OFFICERS/ 2ND BATTALION ROYAL DUBLIN FUSILIERS/ BY LIEUT E. PEARSE/ ON PROMOTION/ 1881'.
