Captain’s service dress tunic, 1942. Worn by Jnr Cdr E Richardson, Auxiliary Territorial Service. Comprises tunic and skirt. Shoulder Strap: bearing junior commander’s (Captain’s) metal rank badges (three stars) Collar badge: within a laurel wreath, a monarchial crown at the base the pierced letters: ATS. Split pin fitting east and west. Button: Royal Coat of Arms with crest, supporters and motto
