NAM.1987-10-79-1

Photograph of a head and shoulders miniature watercolour portrait of Ensign James Ronaldson of the 81st Regiment, 1777-1783 (c). Photograph taken by Drummond Shiels of Edinburgh. An inscription suggests that the original watercolour produced by Ronaldson’s grandniece, is said to be a poor likeness copy of the original on ivory, as the grandniece was not good at portraiture. Contained in folder.
