Double edged blade with two central fullers; blade engraved with floral decoration and scroll bearing regimental name; basket hilt with tassel and fishskin grip. Associated with Maj Hamilton Ross Jnr, Volunteer Highland Rifle Corps, 1880 (c). Manufactured by Silver and Company, London, Military Outfitters. With steel mounted leather scabbard.
