Made by Ninnes and marked with a lion at the end of the handle and three ornate letters, A R A, and a classical raised design on the handle.
Possibly presented as a sporting trophy for marksmanship.
Associated with the Army Rifle Association and the Middlesex Regiment.
Arrived in small white card box, with maker’s details printed on the lid, inside a strip of blue velvet.
From a collection of items formerly in the possession of Maj Albert Edward Frances (Frank) Waldron.
