Description
Helmet, officers’, 3rd Regiment of Madras Light Cavalry, 1832 (c). Blackened metal skull, back and front peaks and crest, back and front peaks trimmed with white metal. The regular regiments of the East India Company Cavalry, unlike the Irregular Cavalry, continued to wear European-style clothing, regardless of how impractical it was in hot climates.
