Officer's shoulder belt plate, 99th Regiment of Foot, 1830 (c)

Rectangular gilt metal plate bearing the following mounted design: superimposed on an eight-pointed, silver rayed star, a gilt metal laurel wreath within which a gilt metal Garter bearing the Garter motto.
Within the Garter is the pierced gilt numeral '99', upon a silver hatched ground.
Above the Garter, in the break in the wreath a gilt monarchial crown.
On the reverse a hook at each upper corner and a stud at each lower corner with brown leather lining.
The reverse is also stamped with two fleurs-de-lys and the makers name, 'J Fisher 37 Duke St London'.
