Fifteen printed Acts of Parliament relating to the armed forces passed between 1748 and 1799. The bulk of the Acts relate generally to the English Militia, although two relate to the raising of Scottish Militia and one of 1799 refers specifically to the Surrey and Middlesex Militia. Three Acts refer to the subsistence rates for troops billeted on innkeepers, and two more facilitate the service of British Militia regiments in Ireland. A catalogue of the collection is available.
