Officer’s combat helmet, with regimental insignia, owned by Wilfred Barham, Buffs (East Kent Regiment), 19 Jun 1914. Universal home pattern. Steel, manufactured by Hawkes and Co, London. Blue. Painted in gold on the front; with Hawkes patent self fitting lining in leather, canvas and cotton. From the collection of the former Buffs Regimental Museum.
