Officer's waistbelt clasp, white metal, 4th Bn Volunteer Battalion Cheshire Regiment, 1887-1902

Belt fittings of Universal scroll and acunthus [sic] leaf pattern.
Left hand half consists of a frosted circlet with raised burnished edges, bearing the raised burnished title, 'Cheshire Regiment 4th Vol Battn'.
Right hand half consists of a circular, slightly domed plate bearing the following design in relief: upon the centre of an eight-pointed, rayed star, a roped circlet, within which is the Prince of Wales's plume, coronet and motto.
