Description
Waistbelt clasp, officers, Kerry Militia, 1857 (c)-1881 (c). Two piece interlocking waistbelt clasp, with belt fittings of foliate design. The right piece is a circular frosted gilt metal plate with a central silver badge of an Irish female harp surmounted by a Queen's Crown. The left piece is a frosted gilt metal circlet bearing the raised title, 'KERRY MILITIA'. After 1881 the Kerry Militia became a Militia Battalion of the Royal Munster Fusiliers.
