The following mounted design upon a white metal burnished ground.
In white metal, an oval laurel wreath surmounted by a monarchial crown.
Across the base of the wreath, a gilt metal frosted scroll bearing the title, 'The Manchester Regiment'.
Within the wreath in gilt metal the Arms, Crest and Motto of Manchester.
The backing plate is of the same size and shape as the overall design which is fixed through the plate by means of four screw and nut fittings.
