Officer's shoulder belt plate, 2nd Regiment of Oxfordshire Militia, 1809-16
Rectangular gilt metal plate with rounded corners bearing the following incised design: between two laurel sprays, an ox statant upon a representation of water.
Below all, a scroll bearing the title, 'Oxfordshire. L.M.' above which are the letters, 'SD'.
Above all, is the numeral, '2', surmounted by a monarchial crown.
On the reverse a hook at upper edge and two studs at lower edge together with a red Morocco leather lining.
