Officer Anglais se rendant a une partie de plaisir, (An English Officer complies to go to a pleasure party) 1820 (c). Coloured etching by Debucourt, after Carle Vernet, published by Bance and Aumourt, Paris, 1820 (c); an officer in uniform on horseback looking truculent; uniform is not correct and is obviously a French artist’s concept of English uniform.
