Rifle green knitted fabric with black woollen torie in centre of crown. Lower edge bound with black corded silk ribbon. Centre back vent, bound with black corded silk ribbon. Attached to back vent two streamers of black corded silk. On the left-hand side front a cockade of black corded silk bearing a white metal badge of the following design: within a frosted garter bearing the title PERTH HIGHLAND RIFLE VOLUNTRS, a thistle flower between two thistle leaves, the whole surmounted by a monarchial crown. Split pin fitting. Black Italian cloth lining.
