Description
Officer's waistbelt clasp, Dumbartonshire Rifle Volunteers, 1875 (c) White metal belt fittings of universal acanthus leaf and scroll design. Left-hand portion consists of a thistle wreath within which is a frosted circlet bearing the title, 'Dumbartonshire Volunteers'. Right-hand portion consists of a representation of an elephant statant with a tower upon its back (part of the arms of Dumbartonshire) all upon a circular hatched ground.
