Blue serge. Collar upright, fastened at centre front with two blackened metal hooks. No cuffs. Four white metal Constabulary buttons bearing: the cypher GRVI surmounted by a monarchial crown. Corresponding buttonholes. Upper corner of extension bears a diagonally placed buttonhole for attaching to a black composition button on inside left front. Body and collar lined with black Italian cloth. Pocket let into left front lining below composition button. Sleeves lined with drab silk-like fabric. Black japanned calf stock patch.
