Description

Tunic, full dress, colonels’, Bedfordshire Imperial Yeomanry, worn by Col F Shuttleworth, 1907 (c). Blue wool cloth with white facings and silver metal thread lace. The Bedfordshire Imperial Yeomanry were one of a small number of Yeomanry Regiments to adopt lancer-style dress. This is indicated by the double-breasted plastron front on this tunic, and the piping on the rear of the sleeves, which extends down the back seams.
