Scarlet wool cloth with blue wool cloth facings. Single breasted. Front and upright collar fastened with hooks and eyes. Pointed cuffs. Silver metal chain gimp shoulder cords bearing embroidered majors’ rank badges and lined with scarlet wool cloth. Silver metal thread artillery pattern lace. Silver metal chain gimp braid. White metal half dome screw buttons, showing a monarchial crown above the regimental cypher ‘RBY’, all within a scalloped border. Fifty four silver plate studs down centre front. Waist lined with brown leather, body lined with white corded silk, neck lined with black corded silk.
