Letter to Jean Black from her brother-in-law Sgt Robert Black, 10th Bn Black Watch (Royal Highlanders), Salonika, 8 Mar 1917.
Has written to Meg. Received a parcel from Father, as well as three others. Looking out for “big events”; predicts that “it will be finished” soon and “none of us will be sorry.” Frequently thinks of her and days when she visited with little Jim. Cannot describe events because of censors. Has been recommended for a commission.
Associated with World War One, Salonika (1914-1918).
