Description
Officer's shoulder belt plate, Craven Legion, 1803-1808. Engraved design. Within a stippled, floral border, upon a ground consisting of horizontal scallops and vertical hatching, an oval garter bearing the motto, 'God And Our Country', within which are the initials, 'CL', in old English lettering. The reverse bears one hook fitting at the top and two studs at the base.
