Other ranks unofficial waistbelt buckle, brass, 1870 (c). Associated with 4th New Brighton Company, Cheshire Artillery Volunteers. Crudely cast, rectangular with scalloped edges, bearing the following impressed title round the four sides. At the top, 'The 4th', at the base, 'Company', to the dexter, 'Volunteer', to the sinister, 'Cheshire'. The reverse bears a vertical bar fitting with a revolving pin on it. The numerals, '1 3/4' are impressed in one corner.
