Description
Officer's shoulder belt plate, Chirk Hundred Volunteers, Denbighshire, 1803-1814. Rectangular gilt copper plate with rounded corners bearing the following incised design: within a garter bearing the title, 'Chirk Hundred Volunteers', the cypher 'GR', the whole surmounted by a monarchial crown. On the reverse a hook at centre upper edge and a stud fitting at each lower corner.
