Description
Officer's shoulder belt plate, Shropshire Militia, 1845 (c). Rectangular silver plated plate bearing the following mounted design. Within a gilt frosted garter bearing the title, 'Shropshire Militia', the silver cypher, 'VR', upon a silver domed ground. Above the garter is a gilt monarchial crown. On reverse a hook in each upper corner and a stud in each lower corner with brown leather lining. One lining is written, 'Dollman 61'.
