Description
Officer's shoulder belt plate, Shropshire Volunteers, 1803-1808. Oval gilt coper plate bearing the following die-struck design. Within a plain circlet, the letter, 'V' surmounted by a monarchial crown, below the letter the convex title, 'Shropshire', all upon a frosted ground. On the reverse a hook at upper edge and two studs at lower edge.
