Description
Officer's shoulder belt plate, 1806 (c). Possibly associated with Devon, Exeter Artillery Volunteers? Oval silver plated brass bearing the following incised design: between two crossed laurel sprays a plain oval within which the entwined letters 'ELA' upon a hatched ground, the whole surmounted by a monarchial crown. On the reverse a hook at upper edge and two studs at lower edge together with a lining of red wool cloth.
