Officer's shoulder belt plate, Linlithgowshire Local Militia, 1806-1816.

Oval frosted gilt metal plate with raised beaded border bearing the following design: in relief: a silver, eight-pointed, rayed, faceted star superimposed upon which, and displacing four of the points, a silver rayed cross saltire.
Upon the centre of the cross a plain, gilt raised oval within which the pierced entwined silver letters 'R L L M' surmounted by a silver monarchial crown and mounted upon a frosted gilt ground.
On reverse a hook at upper edge and two studs at lower edge with a white chamois leather lining.
