Regimental medal for bayonet fencing, Simla Volunteer Rifles, 1921-1922.
Silver. Produced by silversmith Turner and Simpson Ltd, Birmingham 1920.
Obverse: engraved and stamped, within a raised rim an engraved description of two soldiers fencing with bayonets.
Below is the maker's mark, 'T & S' and hallmarks, 'Birmingham 1920'.
Reverse: struck and engraved, within a raised rim, in relief, a laurel wreath within which is the engraved inscription.
The medal bears a fixed ring suspension, through which passes a loose ring.
