Manuscript account of the Military services of Col H Edward Squire, Royal Army Medical Corps (Volunteers), 1875-1915.
After serving in the West London Rifles 1875-1883, Squire was responsible for the formation of the Volunteer Medical Staff Corps, later the Royal Army Medical Corps (Volunteers), and commanded the unit 1898-1904. He served on the Suakin Expedition as a Red Cross Medical Officer.
