Pattern 1912 Cavalry Officer’s sword, 1912-1936 (c). Probably belonged to Col Arthur Elliott Somerville Scott, Indian Cavalry. With nickel-plated scabbard and sword knot. Possibly made by Pillin and Sons, nd. Blade engraved with royal arms, George V cypher and retailer’s name, Army and Navy Cooperative Society, London; shoulder of blade marked, ‘Made in England’, and stamped with serial number, ‘15169’; proof mark word proved around letter, ‘P’.
