Other ranks’ cap badge, 1st Volunteer Bn Duke of Edinburgh’s (Wiltshire Regiment), 1895 (c)-1908.
White metal. Die struck. A cross pattée lined, with burnished edges and surmounted by a coronet. At the centre the Duke of Edinburgh’s cypher with a coronet above upon a circular domed burnished ground. Below the cross a frosted scroll. Reverse bears two vertically placed copper loop fittings and a backing of a piece of scarlet felt cloth glued onto white card of a similar shape to the badge.
