Description
A fragment of the Regimental Colour of the 14th Bengal Native Infantry, 1857 (c). The 14th Bengal Native Infantry was the first to mutiny at Cawnpore; the colour was recaptured from them at Lucknow one year later when the regiment was destroyed. Only the canton and part of the pole sleeve is extant. Associated with the Siege of Lucknow, Indian Mutiny (1857-1859) 1857.
