Frock, other ranks’, 1st Administrative Battalion Cambridgeshire Rifle Volunteers, 1873 (c). Scarlet wool cloth with blue facings. The 1st Administrative Battalion was created in 1860 and comprised a number of different Rifle Volunteer Corps from Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and Essex. In 1887 the battalion was re-titled the 3rd (Cambridgeshire) Volunteer Battalion Suffolk Regiment.
