An account of the ‘Glenbucket Colour’ and the family of John Gordon of Glenbucket during the 1715 and 1745 rebellions. From a collection of two scrolls with illuminated borders in ornate oak frames made with timber from the Duke of Gordon’s house in Edinburgh, demolished in 1886, 1715-1746. Associated with the 1st Jacobite Rebellion, 1715. Associated with the Battle of Culloden, 2nd Jacobite Rebellion (1745-1746) 1746.
