Description
Manuscript letter from W C Justice to his father Gen Justice dated Delhi, 30 Sep 1857. Describes the final assault and capture of Delhi, particularly the part played by the 75th Regiment of Foot in the attack on the Kashmir bastion. Reference is made to Lt Fitzgerald of the 75th Regiment of Foot who was killed in action and to the death of Brig Nicholson. Associated with the Siege of Delhi, Indian Mutiny (1857-1859) 1857.
