Typescript extract from the journal of the Queens Regiment, Vol 1 No 3 Mar 1967. Letter acquired by the Regimental Museum at Canterbury. From Capt Sir Sidney Smith, Royal Navy, to Capt Young, Royal Navy, giving his instructions for landing the 2nd (or Queen’s Royal) Regiment of Foot at Aboukir Bay, 1801. Associated with the Wars of the French Revolution, Egypt (1799-1801).
