Diary, Dec 1855-May 1858. 379 pages, manuscript. Associated with the Indian Mutiny (1857-1859). From a group of papers relating to Col Edward Lacon Ommanney, Indian Civil Service (Bengal), 1855-1891. Following the Mutiny, Ommanney had charge of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Mughal Emperor (called the ex-King of Delhi by the British) and other important prisoners.
